After falling short in a shootout the night before against the Barrie Colts, the Petes traveled down the 401 to take on their arch rival Oshawa Generals. Oshawa took advantage of the Petes short lineup early, controlling the game from the puck drop, but it would be the Petes who would strike first on the road. On Peterborough’s first shot of the game, Sam Mayer blasted a shot that was tipped in front by Quinton Pagé. It would register as the Petes second shot of the period and would be Nick Lardis’ fifth straight game with a goal. Sztuska would stand tall for the rest of the period, denying multiple Generals scoring chances to keep the Petes lead intact....
