Blackhawks Bits: Injury updates on Dickinson, Martinez, Dach
The Blackhawks returned to practice ice on Tuesday after taking Monday off following a pair of games over the weekend.
It was a tough stretch for the team’s overall health, with a trio of players picking up injuries in the last week. One of those injuries will be a season-ender, with interim coach Anders Sorensen delivering the news on Jason Dickinson:

Dickinson ends the season with 16 points (7 G, 9 A) in 59 games with an average ice time of 15:42, all of those numbers a decrease over the 35 (22 G, 13 A) in a full 82 he played last season while averaging 16:34 of ice time per game. That season earned Dickinson modest consideration in the Selke Trophy voting, where he finished 12th on the ballots.
After breaking out for 22 goals last season, Dickinson finishes this season with just 7, with his last one coming on Dec. 23. Frustrating season for him, with the second half interrupted by two significant injuries.— Ben Pope (@BenPopeCST) March 25, 2025
Dickinson remains under contract for one more season in Chicago with a cap hit of $4.25 million, so he’ll almost certainly be part of the 2025-26 lineup to start the season.

Alec Martinez and Colton Dach, who were also out for Sunday’s 7-4 win over the Flyers, seem like they’ll be back before the season ends in mid-April but perhaps not for Wednesday’s home game against the New Jersey Devils. The news on Dach is especially encouraging, as the initial reaction from Dach suggested a far more serious injury.

With those three still sidelined for practice, the Chicago lineup looked the way it did against Philadelphia on Sunday:
