Clan take derby win against Stars

Glasgow Clan came out three-goal winners in their first home derby game against Dundee Stars this season. Clan led by a goal after the opening 20 minutes thanks to Mikko Vainonens’s goal at 12:41 after he was played in on the off side by Guillaume Gauthier. The home side were grateful to Shane Starrett for an excellent diving save 90 or so seconds before going ahead with the Stars on the powerplay. Match Jones wristed home from the point as Clan made use of their two-man advantage with 28:08 played. Stars’ coach Omar Pacha called a timeout early, but Guillaume Gauthier’s empty netter with 2:15 to go ended the scoring....
