Video- Dmitry Orlov Suspended Two Games
NEW YORK (Jan. 19, 2022) – Washington Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov has been suspended for two games, without pay, for kneeing Winnipeg Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers during NHL Game No. 695 in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, Jan. 18, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 13:17 of the third period.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Orlov will forfeit $51,000.00. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
