The Islanders visit their rivals missing some guys. The badly battered New York Islanders are visiting their biggest rivals early this afternoon. They will be without a decent portion of their opening night roster when the puck drops at 1:00 p.m.
It is also the day of the New York City Marathon, so this matchup appears to have been set for today on purpose.

Yesterday’s NHL scores include the Panthers completing the clean sweep of the Stars in the Global Series and the Capitals jumping out to a 5-0 first-period lead en route to a rout of the Blue Jackets.
