This week, the Toronto Maple Leafs re-signed forward to a two-year, two-way contract extension. Since the Maple Leafs chose him in the fourth round (124th overall) of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Abruzzese has shown steady progress and development. In the 2019-20 season, he was one of the NCAA’s top rookies, with 44 points (14 goals, 30 assists) in 31 games. During his collegiate career, Abruzzese put up an impressive 77 points (23 goals, 54 assists) in 59 games.
