Devils Place Forward On Waivers
For the second time this campaign, the New Jersey Devils have placed Marian Studenic on waivers. Studenic has played 17 games with the Devils this season, where he has one goal and a minus-6 rating. New Jersey has been dealing with a lot of injury trouble, so it opened the door for the 23-year-old to get into some action. However, now with the team getting healthier, it has resulted in him being sent back to the American Hockey League. With the Utica Comets this year, Studenic has shown signs of clear improvement. After having a seven-point campaign in 22 games with the Binghamton Devils last year, he has five goals and five assists in just 13 games this season. This kind of production has helped him get some chances at the NHL level, but it's clear that he could use a bit more time in the AHL to work on his craft. When seeing as how Studenic is still young, there could be some teams interested in claiming him. The winger carries a $750,000 cap hit for the remainder of the campaign, so he would be easy to afford. Alas, let's wait and see what occurs from here.Photo Credit: © Tom Horak-USA TODAY Sports...
