NHL Trade Rumors: 2 Nashville Predators Trade Candidates
The Nashville Predators had themselves a massive offseason as they have added firepower all over their lineup. The likes of Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Marchessault and Brady Skjei are going to help a ton, meanwhile GM Barry Trotz also extended goaltender Juuse Saros, solidifying his goalie of the now and the future. While Trotz didn't do much on the trade market, that could certainly be coming at some point next season as the Predators are looking to explore their window to win now. Here's two Predators who could be used as trade bait in 2024-25:Yaroslav AskarovAll Askarov wants to do is play, at the NHL level that is. The Predators top prospect has lit up the AHL the past two seasons and in his brief appearance last season with the Preds, the Russian netminder recorded a 1.47 GAA and .943 save percentage. With Saros locked in for almost the next decade, look for Trotz to move Askarov, likely for a some more help up front.Dante FabbroFabbro has one season left on his deal at $2.5 million AAV. The 26-year-old RHD recorded 13 points in 56 games last season. With Alex Carrier signed long term, Luke Schenn returning and Skjei joining the team, Fabbro could be caught in a numbers game eventually in Nashville. The big move here with be involving Askarov. There's been a ton of speculation throughout the summer and word is Trotz continues to look for the best hockey deal, but has no interest in moving Askarov, just for the sake of making the player happy. He's set to start the season in the AHL come October and will not be happy about it.Photo credit: Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports...
