Shortly after, they signed Pettersson to a six-year, $33 million contract extension. Now, O'Connor will also be more than a rental after signing this nice new extension with the Canucks. O'Connor, 26, has made an impact with the Canucks early on, posting two goals, four hits, and a plus-1 rating in his first four games. This was after he had six goals, 16 points, and 51 hits in 53 games with the Penguins to start the season. The Canucks working hard to keep O'Connor around is entirely understandable. He is a very solid top-nine forward who provides secondary scoring, kills penalties, and provides plenty of energy. They also got him signed at an affordable cap hit, which is significant for the Canucks. It will be fascinating to see how much of an impact O'Connor makes with the Canucks after signing this brand new contract extension from here. photo credit: © Bob Frid-Imagn Images...
