ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers made it seven straight victories on home ice with a 5-0 win over the Maine Mariners on Wednesday night at Mary Brown’s Centre. Michael Joyaux opened the scoring for Newfoundland with a seeing eye point shot six minutes before the first intermission before Orrin Centazzo banged home a rebound just 30 seconds later to make it 2-0 Growlers after 20 minutes of play. Zach O’Brien got in on the scoring seven minutes into the middle frame as he beat Peter Thome short-side over the glove to make it 3-0 Newfoundland.
