Carolina Hurricanes Sign Veteran Defenseman To PTO
The have signed defenseman Calvin de Haan to a professional tryout (PTO). A veteran of 520 NHL games, the 31-year-old played 74 of them with Carolina during the 2018-19 season. In 74 games as Hurricane during his first stint with the team, he had one goal to go along with 13 assists. de Haan's offensive game has taken a step back since then, and his stats from the 2021-22 season with the Chicago Blackhawks show that effectively.
