Vancouver Canucks Sign Arturs Silovs to Multi-Year Deal

The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed Arturs Silovs to a two-year, $1.7 million contract ($850,000 AAV).Šigned. Šealed. He will now look to have a big season for the Canucks after a solid 2023-24 campaign. Silovs appeared in four regular-season games for the Canucks last season, posting a 3-0-1 record, a .881 save percentage (SV%), and a 2.47 goals-against average (GAA). While he did not get too many chances with the Canucks during the regular season, that changed during the playoffs due to injuries to Thatcher Demko and Casey DeSmith. Silovs played a big role in the Canucks getting past the Nashville Predators in the first round, as he had a .900 SV% or better in all three of his starts in the series. In addition, he had a 28-save shutout in the series-clinching game. Silovs is now heading into next season as the expected backup goaltender for the Canucks.
