One of the top scorers on the market today continues to be Rickard Rakell of the Pittsburgh Penguins. With 29 goals through 63 games, he's on his way to a career high this season. He still has three years to run on a $5 million cap hit.Josh Yohe of The Athletic reports there are plenty of teams that would like to get their hands on the Penguins star forward: Interest in Rakell is significant, with multiple teams having inquired about his services, team and league sources said. Western teams seem especially interested in him, but given how many teams are in playoff contention and buy mode, it’s safe to say that there are a number of eager suitors. After the big haul that GM Kyle Dubas got for Marcus Pettersson and Drew O’Connor in January, he knows that it's a seller's market for him, and he has set an "immense" price tag to sell on Rakell. But that doesn't mean that first-rounders will get any deal done for him. The return will need to be "more rooted in young NHL players and top-tier prospects, team sources said", wrote Yohe. Many of his sources feel that Rakell will be getting dealt today, but Dubas will stand firm on a very high price. This is Rakell's 6th 20-goal season in his 13-year career. He has 53 points in 63 games, and on pace for 37 goals.Photo: © Charles LeClaire-Imagn Images ...
