Help On The Way For Jets
The Winnipeg Jets have activated Nikolaj Ehlers off of LTIR, and he is ready to the lineup for Friday's contest against the Dallas Stars. Ehlers has been out since January with a knee injury. He received a knee-on-knee hit from Washington Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov. As a result of the play, the latter received a two-game suspension. Ehlers returning to the lineup couldn't have come at a better time for the Jets. At this juncture, they have a 24-21-9 record and are sixth in the Central Division. They trail the Dallas Stars by six points for the final Wild Card spot, so they need to go on a real run to get back into the playoff race. Having a player like Ehlers again should help their chances of doing that. In 34 games this season, Ehlers has 13 goals, 12 assists, and a plus-8 rating. Overall, it's been another strong season for the 26-year-old, and he will finally have the chance to build on it again. Photo Credit: © Terrence Lee-USA TODAY Sports...
