Sharks Extend Defenseman
The San Jose Sharks have made their second move of the day, as they have signed Jacob Megna to a two-year contract extension. This campaign was a big one for Megna, as he played at the NHL level for the first time since the 2018-19 season. With that, he saw his role with the Sharks expand, as he appeared in 44 games. During them, he had two goals and six assists. While with their AHL affiliate, the San Jose Barracuda, he also was their captain. In 22 games with the club, he had two goals and eight assists. Megna will be hoping to secure himself a permanent spot on the Sharks' NHL roster from here. He certainly wasn't easy for opponents to go up against, either, as he had 92 blocked shots and 71 hits. We will have to wait and see if he will be able to build on all of these totals with the Sharks next season. Photo Credit: © Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports...
