NHL Rumors: Free Agency, and the Washington Capitals
With not many teams having the salary cap space, the opening of free agency could be slower than normal : Carolina Hurricanes GM notes that the defenseman market is a little thin and that there are an abundance of forwards. The salary cap is only going up by a million, and not a lot of teams have room. The Detroit Red Wings, Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes, Buffalo Sabres, New Jersey Devils and Seattle Kraken have cap space that they can use to their advantage. Do they go to the free agent market?
