With an empty-net goal against the Winnipeg Jets last night, became the first player to hit the 50-goal mark this season. The Maple Leafs’ centre was the leading scorer last season as well, with 41 tallies in a condensed 52-game season. With 50 goals in 62 games, Matthews is on pace to score 62 goals in 77 games.
