New Jersey Devils Sign Defenseman To Long-Term Extension

The Devils have signed Jonas Siegenthaler five-year contract extension. He will carry a $3.4 million cap hit at the start of the 2023-24 season.Siegenthaler truly had a breakout campaign with the Devils in 2021-22. In 70 games, he scored a goal and recorded 14 points. Although those offensive numbers may not stand out, his defensive play was excellent. This, in turn, has led to him landing this long-term extension. He should be a part of their top four for several seasons because of it.It will be intriguing to see how this contract ages from here.
