Islanders Rumors: 2 Teams In The Mix For Jean-Gabriel Pageau
New York Islanders forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau has been discussed as a trade candidate for quite some time, and that is only continuing to be the case with the deadline just about here. Teams looking for help down the middle should express interest in the veteran center. According to The Fourth Period, the Winnipeg Jets and Colorado Avalanche are two that are linked to Pageau at this point of the season. When taking a look at the Jets' roster, it is fair to argue that they could use another impactful center like Pageau. He could slot nicely in their bottom six if acquired but also could move up the lineup if needed. Furthermore, he would also give them another option to work with on their penalty kill because of his solid defensive play. It also makes sense that the Avalanche have an interest in Pageau. They could use another option for their third-line center spot, so it is understandable that Pageau is reportedly on their radar. Furthermore, it is no secret that the Avalanche could also use more secondary offensive production, which is something Pageau provides. In 56 games this season, Pageau has 11 goals, 30 points, and a plus-8 rating. It will be interesting to see if Islanders end up trading Pageau to one of these two clubs before the deadline passes from here. photo credit: © Thomas Salus-Imagn Images...
