3 Anaheim Ducks Who Won't Be Back Next Season: Post Trade Deadline Fallout

The Anaheim Ducks didn't have a very active trade deadline this season. They are a team on the rise and still have a slight chance of sneaking into the playoffs this season, but it's not very likely. Instead of choosing to sell off pieces like John Gibson and Trevor Zegras, they were relatively quiet. There will be some changes after the season, so here's how that could look.Robby FabbriThe Ducks acquired Robby Fabbri in the offseason in hopes of bringing in some top-9 help. Things have gone the same in Anaheim as it has gone for the majority of Fabbri's career. He has missed a good chunk of games with injuries. The 29-year-old has played 44 games this season and his health is catching up to him in terms of production too with only eight goals and 16 points on the season. He is currently on the IR and is a UFA after the season. It's unlikely the Ducks will keep someone who can't stay healthy when they are trying to climb in the standings.Oliver KylingtonThe Ducks acquired Oliver Kylington from the New York Islanders for future considerations. By costing nothing to acquire and being just another body for the back-end, there is no investment here. He is also a free agent after the season and with the team on the rise, there is more of an incentive to spend bigger instead of keeping around a guy who has played just 13 games this season and has fallen off from where he once was.Trevor ZegrasZegras didn't get moved, but he has one more year left on his contract. What many forget is that he is only 23 years old with two 20 goal, 60 points seasons under his belt. Injuries and the situation haven't helped things, but he can still thrive in a new environment. The problem is that his price tag is a little too high. That may change in the offseason as the Ducks try to shake up the roster a little and move on from what isn't working. Zegras would be first on the list if that's the case.Photo credit: © Gary A. Vasquez-Imagn Images...
