The Dallas Stars have placed defenseman Andreas Borgman on unconditional waivers. With this, they are set to terminate the 26-year-old's contract.Kellman (SJ) clears unconditional waivers. Borgman (DAL) on unconditional waivers for purposes of contract termination— Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) December 15, 2021 Borgman has played the entire season with Dallas' AHL affiliate, the Texas Stars. In 14 games, he has three goals and five points as an alternate captain. Given his placement on the depth chart, a call-up just didn't seem too probable. With this, it makes sense that he wants a new opportunity and he should get that overseas.Borgman spent time with Assat of Liiga last season, where he had three goals and 13 points in 19 games. He also got into some NHL games for the first time since the 2017-18 campaign last season with the Tampa Bay Lightning. In seven games, he recorded two assists. In total, Borgman has played in 55 NHL games, where he has three goals and 13 career points. Yet, now Borgman is reportedly heading back to the Swedish Hockey League to join Frolunda. We'd like to wish him the best of luck on his next adventure.Photo Credit: © Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports...
