Finley McCarthy Commits to Wisconsin

Wisconsin picked up one of the biggest recruiting coups of the summer this summer when they received a commitment from Selects Academy ‘05 forward Finley McCarthy. McCarthy announced the commitment via her Instagram: McCarthy is a late-’05 birthdate and will be a high school junior next season, which means she wasn’t able to make a college commitment until this summer, but is regarded as one of the top players in the ‘05 age group. She was one of eight underage players to skate US women’s U18 team that took silver at the U18 World Championships this summer in Madison. McCarthy scored four points in four games for the Americans at the tournament, helping to anchor a young, talented second line.
