WCHA Releases 2022-2023 Composite Schedule

The WCHA has released their composite schedule for all eight of the league’s teams for the 2022-2023 season.
The season officially kicks off in just 15 days when Wisconsin opens the season at State College playing against Penn State on Thursday September 22nd. Conference play begins the following weekend when defending national champs Ohio State travel to Mankato to take on Minnesota State September 30-October 1st.
It’s always difficult to schedule marquee east-west non-conference games in women’s hockey, though there are a few notable exceptions this year. Bemidji State will travel to Clarkson, Ohio State will host Colgate and travel to Cornell. Maura Crowell and Minnesota Duluth will host Crowell’s former employer in Harvard in a November non-conference series. And Wisconsin will play a road series at Quinnipiac.
But the highlight of the season should be the outstanding intra-conference play. Between players returning from the Olympics, and players that have had their collegiate careers extended by the Covid bonus year, this should be one of the strongest years talentwise in a conference that is already ridiculously strong in a normal year.
Streaming for the WCHA will once again be available through B1G+. Streaming options include a WCHA Pass for $49.99, which includes every game played at a WCHA school rink, along with all league playoffs. A Hockey Sport Pass for $54.99 which includes all those games, plus whatever men’s Big Ten hockey games get put on the network.
