Boston Bruins Goaltender Injured

2 years ago  /  NHL Trade Rumors

Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy told reporters that Tuukka Rask will be out day-to-day because of a lower-body injury.Rask had offseason surgery on his hip to repair a torn labrum. It was a long process to get healthy again, but once he did, he went on to sign a one-year deal with the Bruins earlier this month. When that occurred, there was excitement amongst Bruins fans, as they landed their all-time winningest goalie again. However, since returning, Rask has noticeably struggled. In four appearances, he has a 2-2-0 record, 4.29 goals-against average, and .844 save percentage. This is most likely due to the veteran simply being rusty, and he does have time to find his elite form. Keep in mind, he just went 15-5-2 last season and sported a .913 save percentage and 2.28 goals-against average. Although Rask's injury is deemed as day-to-day, this is something to keep an eye on from here. Here's to hoping his injury remains nothing serious and he can come back not only shortly, but strongly.Photo Credit: © Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports...
