Canucks Get Bad Elias Pettersson & Nils Hoglander Injury News
According to NHL.com's Mike Morreale, Vancouver Canucks forwards Elias Pettersson and Nils Hoglander have both gone back to Vancouver and will be out for the rest of the Pacific Division club's road trip due to injury. Both Pettersson and Hoglander left the Canucks' March 22 against the New York Rangers after suffering injuries. Now, they will be out for the next four games, which is undoubtedly bad news for the Canucks. The Canucks are currently fighting for a playoff spot in the very tight Western Conference wild card standings. Thus, being without two of their key forwards for the next few games is certainly a very tough blow for the Canucks. Pettersson, 26, has appeared in 64 games this season with the Canucks, where he has 15 goals, 45 points, and a minus-10 rating. While it has been a tough year for the 2017 first-round pick, he has been heating up as of late, posting four goals and 10 points in his last nine contests.Hoglander, on the other hand, has played in 66 games this campaign with the Canucks, posting six goals, 15 assists, 21 points, and a plus-6 rating. Similar to Pettersson, he also has been enjoying a nice hot streak.
