The team culture that took years to develop did not disappear over the summer. It's still intact. Consider the number of personnel changes Sweeney made in the off-season. The DeBrusk and Ulmark trades were a significant change in the lineup, and it brought a new chemistry to the locker room. It's obvious that this team has not learned to connect with one another. Neither the defensive pairs nor the forward lines are playing in a coordinated way. This is not to excuse poor play, but chemistry is important. The Bruins of the past 15-plus years had it. This team does not. Not to say it's gone for good. Hopefully Sacco will be able to find it again....
