Islanders 2021 Regular Season Schedule: Familiarity, contempt and all that

Filed under: Two new guys and a whole lot of others you already hate. The Islanders schedule for the 56-game 2021 regular season has been released. Because this season is gonna be chock full of ‘em. Start times are all TBA right now, but the schedule has also been posted at the Islanders official site so keep checking there for updates.
Then it’s home for games against new division-mates Boston and old division mates New Jersey, before hitting the road for five to close out January. Their first games against their other new division-mate Buffalo will be at Nassau Coliseum on February 2nd and 4th.
The playoffs will feature a different format, ashewing Conference Finals and going to intradivision play, semifinals and finally a Stanley Cup final. The top four teams in each division will qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, with intradivisional play in the first two rounds ( vs. #4; vs. #3).
