Hurricanes Rumors: Latest On Martin Necas Extension Talks
While speaking with Tom Gulitti, Carolina Hurricanes star forward Martin Necas said that he has not begun having contract extension talks with the club. Necas is entering the final season of his current contract, so the Hurricanes are now permitted to sign him to an extension. Yet, with this update, it appears that the team is currently taking their time with it. Necas, 24, had a breakout season with the Hurricanes in 2023-24, setting new career highs in goals (28), assists (43), and points (71). It was a huge year from the 2017 first-round pick, and he will now be aiming to replicate it this upcoming season from here.It is apparent that Necas will be due for a raise when his contract expires, and it will be interesting to see what his next deal will be.
