Overshadowed by some real trades around the league, the Isles claime Adam Boqvist from the Panthers. Beyond the critical injuries to Noah Dobson and Ryan Pulock...might the Islanders management actually be aware that an aging blueline is holding them back?
They just added their third trash-heap defenseman in a little over a week, claiming Adam Boqvist off waivers from the Florida Panthers, who are their opponent on the second half of this Florida back-to-back. For once, it wasn’t an injury that forced the move; rather, they’ve sent 20-year-old Isaiah George back to Bridgeport, probably a prudent move for his development and a team that, despite a hot streak, is likely headed nowhere in particular.
The Islanders are in Tampa tonight. Leave First Islanders Goal picks here.
