Predators' Juuso Parssinen Could Be Next To Go

1 week ago  /  NHL Trade Rumors

As the Nashville Predators continue to sit at the bottom of the NHL, more moves have to be made. There have been line changes every night and Barry Trotz has already made some moves to send younger players off. The next could very well be Juuso Parssinen. The belief was that young players like Philip Tomasino and Parssinen would have a place in the Predators' lineup almost every night, but that wasn't the case. Nashville already traded Tomasino and placed Dante Fabbro on waivers, only to see both of them succeed in their new homes as the Predators continue to lose.Elliotte Friedman has brought up Parssinen's name before because he has only gotten in 15 of the team's 30 games. Head coach Andrew Brunette made a comment that he could make every single player a healthy scratch based on performances. That hasn't been the case though as the stars and players who are expected to be the best, still struggle and don't get sat.Parssinen has shown some good stuff in his career and he isn't getting the right opportunity in Nashville as the team hasn't given up hope that they can turn it around and get back in the playoff race for a second season in a row.Friedman said that it looks like we're headed to a point where Parssinen is also moved and it could lead to him starting well in a new home as well. He has two goals and five points in 15 games this season, but is down to 12:13 of ice time per game. This is down from 14:28 of ice time per game in his first two partial seasons.Parssinen has 16 goals and 42 points in 103 NHL games and is definitely an NHL player. He still has lots of time to get better too as he's only 23 and it seems like the Predators are going to let another talented young player go to waste.Photo credit: © David Kirouac-Imagn Images...
