Spencer Stastney Earns First Arbitration Award of 2024
Young Nashville Predators defenseman Spencer Stastney has landed a two-year contract via arbitration, in the first decision to come down in the summer of 2024. The result of arbitration was a creative one that gave Stastney a two-year deal: $825,000 in the NHL and $400,000 at the AHL in the first year, and a one-way contract for 2025-26 at $850,000. The 24-year-old spent 20 games with Nashville this past season, notching two goals and two assists for four points with a very solid plus/minus rating of +9. With the Milwaukee Admirals, he recorded 20 points in 44 games with an even more impressive +27 rating. The American-born Stastney was a fifth-round pick of the Predators in 2018 and has spent most of his first two seasons in pro hockey at the AHL level.
