Drew Doughty Set To Make Season Debut; Could Join Team Canada At 4 Nations Tournament
Drew Doughty is on the brink of returning to the Los Angeles Kings after missing the entire season so far due to a fractured ankle sustained in the preseason. The 35-year-old defenseman, who underwent surgery and months of rehabilitation, is now traveling with the team and participating in full-contact practices. While Kings coach Jim Hiller has indicated Doughty could make his season debut within the next three to five games, the team is taking a cautious approach. "I feel like I’m ready to play, but I know they want to make sure I’m 100 percent," Doughty said.Drew Doughty is expected to return to the Kings in the next 3-5 games.
