 An independent arbitrator has awarded Nashville Predators forward Yakov Trenin a two-year, $3.4 million contract with an average of $1.7 million annually. #Preds announced that the team has signed forward Yakov Trenin to a two-year, $3.4 million contract.— Kayla Anderson (@KaylaAndersonTV) August 5, 2022 The twenty-five-year-old just finished his third season with the Predators, scoring 17 goals and seven assists in 80 games played. In four playoff games, Trenin scored three goals. Overall, in his NHL career, the young forward has played 146 games across three seasons, all with the Predators, scoring 24 goals and 17 assists. Trenin is an aggressive forward, emphasized by his 192 hits this past season, and definitely has long-term upside.
