4 days ago  /  NHL Trade Rumors

According to TSN's Darren Dreger, the Buffalo Sabres have signed forward Jason Zucker to a two-year, $9.5 million ($4.75 million AAV) contract extension. Zucker extension done in Buffalo. 2 Years. $ 4.75 per— Darren Dreger (@DarrenDreger) March 7, 2025 The Sabres were working hard to get Zucker signed to a contract extension, and it has now come to fruition. Instead of being traded by the deadline, Zucker will now be staying with the Sabres for not only the rest of this season but for the next two campaigns as well. The Sabres keeping Zucker around is entirely understandable. The 33-year-old forward has fit in beautifully with the Sabres and has become one of their most important forwards. In 54 games this season, he has 18 goals, 44 points, and a plus-4 rating. Overall, this is a contract that is a win for both the player and the team. The Sabres got Zucker extended at a lower cap hit than his current $5 million salary, while Zucker earned some job security by getting two years on his new deal. It will be very fascinating to see how much of an impact Zucker makes after landing this nice new extension from here. photo credit: © Steve Roberts-Imagn Images...
