Toronto to Host 2024 All-Star Weekend
For the first time in 23 years, the NHL's All-Star Weekend will be headed back to Toronto. The NHL made the announcement on Saturday from Florida as the current All-Star Weekend is well under way.Commissioner Gary Bettman delivered the news on Saturday and had this to say about next year's event:We are thrilled to bring the Honda NHL All-Star Game back to Toronto for the ninth time and to shine a spotlight on our current stars in a setting that evokes over a century of league history. Toronto fans are among the most knowledgeable and passionate in our game, and the city's rich hockey history dates back to the creation of the sport. What better place to play host to our annual midseason celebration of the best and brightest in the NHL?February 2-3, 2024 is when the festivities will be in Toronto, as the NHL heads to Canada for the first time since 2012 for the All-Star Game. Maple Leafs all-star Mitch Marner had this to say about the news:It's going to be a little colder than here, obviously, but I think just the buzz around it [will be great]. People love going to Toronto, it's always a good place to visit, a good place to play in. You know the fans are always going to be there. The food and restaurants are pretty good too.
