The 2023-24 regular season is rapidly approaching, much to the delight of hockey fans. Due to this, we here at NHLTR are starting a series going over each teams' best addition and worst subtraction of the summer. To kick this series off, let's look at the Winnipeg Jets.Best Addition: Gabriel VilardiOne of the main pieces that the Jets got back from the Los Angeles Kings in the Pierre-Luc Dubois trade is Gabriel Vilardi. The 24-year-old took a massive step forward in 2022-23, posting 23 goals and 41 points in 63 games. He is expected to have a top-six role with the Jets this season, so expect his numbers to improve from here. Worst Subtraction: Pierre-Luc DuboisBlake Wheeler is a notable loss for the Jets, but Dubois is a bigger one. The 25-year-old forward wanted out, and the Jets had no choice but to move him.
