Former Dallas Stars Winger Heading Overseas
After not being able to find another home in the NHL, veteran winger Michael Raffl has signed a two-year contract with Lausanne HC of the Swiss National League.Raffl spent this past season with the Dallas Stars. In 76 games on the year, he scored seven goals and recorded 16 points. Overall, it was a fairly quiet campaign for the 33-year-old, but there was some expectation that another NHL club would be willing to sign him to a cheap deal. Yet, that now has not happened, and he is heading to Switzerland. With Raffl being in his mid-30s and signing a multi-year deal overseas, there's a good chance that his NHL career is now complete. In 590 career NHL games, Raffl had 89 goals, 90 assists, and 179 points.Photo Credit: © Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports...
