3 Players Entering Final Season With Anaheim Ducks
It is going to be another rebuilding year for the Anaheim Ducks even though there should be a lot of fun young talent in the lineup to watch. The team will likely sell at the trade deadline and players on the final year of their deals are prime targets to be moved by Anaheim normally. If not the trade deadline, space will be opened up for the young players to take on larger roles next season anyways. Here are three players that are likely entering their final season with the Ducks.Frank VatranoFrank Vatrano had a lot of value last season and wasn't moved. The hope is that he can carry that over to this season and if the Ducks aren't in the running for a playoff spot, trade him. While there is a chance he could re-sign, losing him for nothing is the biggest missed opportunity by Anaheim. The 30-year-old is in the final year of his deal and scored 37 goals and 60 points last season. He will once again carry value because his cap isn't particularly high.Brian DumoulinAfter being traded to the Seattle Kraken before last season, Brian Dumoulin was once again moved, this time landing in Anaheim. He will not only have to bounce back, but with a lot of young defensemen projected to be on the roster, play some key minutes and be a leader. He too is in the final year of his deal, but it wouldn't be as rough to let his contract play out as he is on the back-half of his career and doesn't have a ton of value as it is. The Ducks will want to free up space for d-men like Olen Zellweger, Pavel Mintyukov, Jackson LaCombe, Urho Vakanainen, and more defensemen on the way to play more.Brock McGinnThe 30-year-old winger in the final year of his contract will likely not see too much playing time next season again. He played 15 games and 24 games the previous two seasons, scoring a combined three goals and six points. I don't think he holds enough value to be traded and his cap hit isn't good, so the Ducks are bound to just play it out and move on.Photo credit: © Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports...
