LOS ANGELES (Oct. 6, 2021) – LA Kings forward Quinton Byfield suffered a left-ankle fracture in last night’s game against the Arizona Coyotes and will be out indefinitely. He has been placed on injured reserve and will be re-evaluated in the coming weeks.

Byfield, 19, was chosen second overall by the Kings in the 2020 NHL Draft and made his NHL debut last season on April 28 against the Anaheim Ducks. The 6-4, 215-pound center played six NHL games with the Kings, registering one assist – his first NHL point – on May 5 against the Arizona Coyotes.
