In his 29th game of the season, Montreal Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry finally broke the ice and scored his first goal. In 29 games, he now has just one goal and two assists. Over his four previous seasons, he had at least 40 points and over 10 goals in each of them. Therefore, it makes his sudden struggles quite strange to see.   Petry is in the first year of a four-year, $25 million contract, so the Canadiens are certainly hoping that he will be able to find his previous form. When looking at how marvelously he played just this past season alone, it certainly seems possible. In 55 games, he had 12 goals and 42 points. Perhaps this goal will help spark a much-needed bounce-back from the veteran. The Canadiens ended up losing to the Blackhawks by a 3-2 final score in overtime. With this, they now have a 7-24-5 record, while the Blackhawks are 14-18-5. Still, it's hard not to feel happy for Petry for finally getting that first goal of the campaign. Photo Credit: © Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports...
