3 Buffalo Sabres Not Expected Back Next Season
The Buffalo Sabres are close to becoming a threat in the Eastern Conference. Tage Thompson leads an up and coming roster which does still have some holes but are certainly improving year over year. Next season, expect the team to contend for a divisional crown as the Sabres will be a tough team to beat in the Eastern Conference. Changes will be coming as GM Kevyn Adams tries to improve his hockey club, here's three players don't expect back:Zemgus GirgensonsA former first-round pick in Buffalo, Zemgus Girgensons could use a change of scenery. He'll be an unrestricted free agent at season's end and hits the open market coming off a contract that paid him $2.2 million annually, and a season where he's put up only 15 points in 65 games. Expect to see a mutual break up this summer.Craig AndersonYes, this finally appears to be the end of the run for Craig Anderson as the 41-year-old netminder has had a tremendous career. He's been rejuvenated playing with a younger crowd in Buffalo and it's shown in his game as some nights he's still capable of stealing games. Over 700 career games and over $40 million in earnings, hell of a run for a goaltending who was always told he was too small and not athletic enough.Vinnie HinostrozaThe 28-year-old Hinostroza is a pending free agent who will likely be looking elsewhere for his next contract. He's appeared in 25 games with the Sabres this season, recording 11 points, and has put up decent points in 11 AHL games as well. Hinostroza isn't the ideal checking forward so his role was the Sabres has been all over the place. Expect both sides to move on this summer.Photo credit: Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports...
