According to Frank Seravalli, the Nashville Predators will be aiming to trade Philippe Myers and his $2.55 million cap hit this summer. Although Myers may not seem like a particularly alluring trade target because of his high cap hit, he could attention around the league. This is because if a team acquires him and buys him out, they would gain $616,666 of cap space due to him being 25 years old and having a backloaded contract - which Seravalli noted. This is where a market could form.Myers' first season with the Predators was one he would like to forget. In 27 games with Nashville, he had four points and was placed on waivers.
