Rangers Forward Ruled Out For Rest Of Regular Season

2 years ago  /  NHL Trade Rumors

New York Rangers head coach Gerard Gallant told reporters that Tyler Motte will not be back for the rest of the regular season. At this point in time, it has not been confirmed whether or not Motte will be able to return for the playoffs. Gallant noted that Motte is going to be "out for quite a while" so there's a good chance that we may not see him come back for them. Yet, time will tell what comes to fruition on that front.Motte was one of the Rangers' trade deadline day acquisitions. The bottom-six forward put together a solid campaign this year, as he had seven goals and eight assists in 58 games between the Canucks and Rangers. Sadly, this is where at least his regular season will end. The 27-year-old is a pending UFA, too.Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see if Motte is ready to go at some point during the playoffs. With the Rangers being in a very deep Eastern Conference, they certainly will be hoping for his return. Photo Credit: © Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports...
