A goaltender leads the pack. It was a lighter month of February for the Colorado Eagles with 10 games evenly split between home and road with a 6-3-1 record. Side note, for our purposes this snapshot will include the March 1st home victory for a total of 11 games. The month of March will be a busy one for the Eagles with 13 games left on the docket and only four at home. Colorado will have to improve on their 10-10-3 road record to maintain the top spot in the Pacific Division as three teams are within two points in a tight race.

First Star - Trent Miner - 24 GP: 13-6-5, .918 SV%, 2.18 GAA
While he hasn’t always had the net in Loveland, goaltender Trent Miner finished the month strong with back-to-back shutouts of the Ontario Reign. In those two games Miner made a total of 54 saves and helped the Eagles briefly claim first place in the Pacific Division. Overall it was a successful month for the 24-year old netminder as he finished with a 4-2 record only giving up a total of five goals in those five starts with a .963 save percentage.
Second Star - Jere Innala - 31 GP: 13G, 10A, 23P
Jere Innala made his eight February games count with seven goals spread across five games and included a hat trick for good measure. It’s difficult to place exactly how the Finn fits in the organization. He has streaky scoring talent but didn’t generate anything in 15 Colorado Avalanche contests. It might be a short stay in Colorado but Innala will help the Eagles in the meantime.

Third Star - Oskar Olausson - 48 GP: 10G, 11A, 21P
All the Avalanche prospects have diminished roles so it’s difficult to identify standout performances. Still, the third year pro Olausson finds himself on top of the heap with some regular production in the month of February with three goals and three assists in 10 games including the ever important +7 rating as well. His 21 points on the season is a career high as well.
