Chicago Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson is sending a message to forward Philipp Kurashev - frankly put, you haven't been good enough. The Blackhawks bench boss spoke about Kurashev's struggles to the media on Monday, and all signs are pointing to Kurashev being a healthy scratch in Tuesday's matchup against the Vancouver Canucks."To me, he's a guy that I've gotten used to counting on, and he can't play the way he did the last game for me to continue to count on him like that," Richardson said, per WGN 720's Charlie Roumeliotis. "I know he'll use it as a bit of a wake-up call and be better. We just need more from him."The 25-year-old Kurashev posted 54 points last season, and was supposed to be a big piece of the Blackhawks rebuild this season, in year two of the Connor Bedard-era. So far through six games, Kurashev has one point and is a minus -6 on the year. The Blackhawks have started 2-3-1 on the season and are hopeful they can stay in the playoff hunt this season in the Western Conference. So far their team owns a .911 save percentage, and more of the focus early on at least, has been up front and the struggles of the likes of Kurashev, along with Tyler Bertuzzi who only has one point in six games, and Andreas Athanasiou, who has yet to register a point.Photo credit:  Stephen R.
