Columbus Blue Jackets Sign Prospect
The Columbus Blue Jackets have added to their prospect pool, as they have signed Hunter McKown to a three-year, entry-level contract. He will also report to the team later this week. McKown was on the Chicago Blackhawks' radar, but the Blue Jackets are the lucky team to sign him. He will now provide them with another solid prospect as they aim to get things back on track. McKown is coming off of a career season with Colorado College that saw him score 21 goals and record 28 points (both career highs) in 38 games played. This breakout season mixed with his strong defensive play and physicality helped raise his value as a prospect. As a result, he now has landed this excellent ELC with the Blue Jackets because of it. We will now need to wait and see how much of an impact McKown can make for the Blue Jackets from here. Overall, he has all the tools to blossom into a bottom-six center, but time will tell if that does in fact come to fruition.photo credit: © David Kirouac-USA TODAY Sports...
