The season is over and it’s time to take a look back at some player evaluations from the 2022-23 season. The New York Islanders’ defense core has been a staple of the organization since former head coach Barry Trotz came to the Island. He was still first in offensive stats out of all the Islanders defensemen but it was clear he took a step back this season. He was one of the few Islanders defensemen this season with any sort of offensive ability. As Aho got more playing time throughout the season, you could see the confidence in his game continue to grow....
