NHL Trade Rumors: Islanders & Ducks Linked To Trade
The New York Islanders have been linked to Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras as a potential trade target, with Russ Macias of NYI Hockey Now suggesting he could be a more affordable option than Elias Pettersson. With Mathew Barzal sidelined, the Islanders’ offense has struggled, particularly on the power play, and Zegras could provide a spark. Macias speculated on whether Scott Mayfield, Ryan Pulock, or Adam Pelech would waive their no-trade clauses to facilitate a deal, though that remains unlikely. He is signed through next season at $5.75 million per year, a cap hit the Islanders can afford, especially if Barzal is placed on LTIR.
