NHL Rumors: Teams Interested In Canucks Winger
According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, teams are calling the Vancouver Canucks about forward Brock Boeser. It's already been established by Jim Rutherford that the Canucks will be looking to find ways to free up more salary. Boeser is an intriguing candidate to move, as the 2015 first-round pick will be a restricted free agent this summer and has a $7.5 million qualifying offer. The 24-year-old is having a bit of a down year, so the Canucks will have to decide if they are willing to commit to the minimum salary. In 39 games this season, Boeser has 12 goals, 23 points, and a minus-5 rating. These numbers are low for his standards, so the Canucks have a bit of a hard decision to make regarding him. Yet, even with him struggling, it isn't surprising that teams are calling. He was close to a point-per-game player over the last four seasons and is capable of being a 30-goal scorer if healthy for an entire campaign. With this, it's fair to say that he has the potential to bounce back from here. It will be interesting to see if the Canucks decide to move Boeser. His name isn't the first one to pop up in the rumor mill from them, as J.T. Miller, Conor Garland, and Tanner Pearson also have. Photo Credit: © Bob Frid-USA TODAY Sports...
