Nashville Predators Add Some Goaltending Depth Behind Saros

The Nashville Predators have found Juuse Saros a backup tender as the Preds have agreed to terms with Kevin Lankinen on a one-year deal worth $1.5 million.The goalie movement this summer has been crazy to watch and Lankinen was one of the younger options on the market who wasn't as proven. The 27-year-old finished up his two-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks, a deal where he was making $800,000 per season.A nice raise for the Finnish netminder as he appeared in 32 games last season with the Blackhawks, posting a 8-15-6 record and a .891 Sv% and a 3.50 goals against average.Kevin Lankinen, signed 1x$1.5M by NSH, is a goalie. #Preds pic.twitter.com/SVRaXDes6i— JFresh (@JFreshHockey) July 14, 2022 He's not a strong #1 contender, however with Saros in the crease he's set for backup minutes and backup minutes only.
